Support A1+!On arriving in Armenia Vladimir Rushaylo, Secretary of the Security Council at the Russian president, announced that one of the visit purposes is Karabakhi conflict.
”Karabakhi conflict is very complicated. Procedures on it pass by 2 formats – bilateral – between Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents, and multilateral – within OSCE Minsk group. Being a co-chairing state in Minsk group, Russia aims to influence the processes positively and not to complicate the already tangled situation”, Mr Rushaylo says.
According to Rushaylo, now the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan hold the key roles to settle Karabakhi conflict.
Rushaylo also thinks that Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliev is not completely aware of NKR conflict. ”After the presidential elections in Azerbaijan Ilham Aliev needs time to comprehend Karabakhi conflict at a president’s level”, he says.
Mr Rushaylo was asked how Russia will act if the new suggestions on Karabakhi conflict settlement run counter to the Russian interests, Meghri version for instance. ”I don’t think that Russia must make pressure on anybody or impose some things”, Rushaylo said.
