ARF DISPLEASED WITH MAY 25 ELECTION RESULTS

“Voting on May 25 can’t be evaluated totally free, fair and transparent” , ARF Supreme Body has today appeared with such a statement.

Dashnaktsutyun is sure that “mass and obvious election bribes by the political powers and candidates turned to be an influential factor on the electoral process. Vote “trade” caused the immoral political atmosphere in the country”. Supreme Body knows who the “author” of it is “The ruling party fully used the administrative key factors of the state to artificially add its votes, and to second other political parties and majority candidates it patronises” .

ARF has fixed that the number of the votes of the ruling party was artificially exaggerated, and the newly elected Parliament doesn’t completely reflect the real correlation of the political powers.

The conclusion is shocking: “ARF considers the parliamentary elections to be well-conducted” . Moreover, ARF wishes the majority power success.

Will ARF hold a part in the future coalition government? /Republicans are to form it/. ARF SB representative Armen Rostomyan informed that they had been suggested to become a part in a coalition government. ”We now discuss it” , he says.

However, one requirement is to be met to become a coalition part, “Coalition program must proceed from the pre-election platform of the Armenian president” .

We asked ARF Chair Aghvan Vartanyan how he treated the standpoint of the republicans, saying Republican Party of Armenia won’t let anyone have the force ministries. Mr Vartanyan labels the force ministries as anti-political, so “it is strange that republicans say so“.

“They are talking about the PM post, but under the Constitution in force the president appoints the PM” , Aghvan Vartanyan said.

Is ARF possible to be pleased with a few ministerial portfolios or heading a parliamentary committee or two? “Any post is out of question, principles and values are prior” , Vartanyan announced.

He also told ARF was going to appeal to CC with a suit for declaring invalid the elections in NN 30, 50, 56 electoral districts . Vartanyan added the list of the constituencies is not final.

ARF has some demands from the high powers
1)there are people standing behind each election irregularity, and “we demand that they are called to account by Law” .
2)Electoral Code needs to drastically be reformed
