PEOPLE ARE INNOCENT, AUTHORITIES ARE TO BLAME
Support A1+!The Opposition wing of the Armenian delegation was rather active at the 5-th session in Brussels within CE-Armenia parliamentary collaboration was rather active. Arshak Sadoyan, Khoren Sargssyan and Alexan Karapetyan introduced their points of view from Brussels.
From the CE platform many people expressed surprise at the double-dealing attitude to democratic values in Armenia. On one hand they were the witnesses of the peoples’ readiness for holding democratic values, on the other one – the antidemocratic aspirations of Authorities. Arshak Sadoyan informed about it.
Khoren Sargssyan added Great Britain representative in CE, Bashir Khamrai, had announced people in Armenia are ready to fight for their rights but Authorities struggle against the will of the people in every way possible. He was just aware of the conclusions of OSCE and CE observation missions.
Armenian delegation has introduced all the shortcomings that took place at the elections, particularly the unnecessary voting papers, seals with closed envelops, nomination of chairs and secretaries of committees by the president.
Opposition MPs suggested CE to print voting papers in Europe for the concrete election centers and voters for the parliamentary elections as they apprehend the same will happen on May 25. Aghvan Vartanyan from Dashnaktsutyun was against the proposal, saying it hits our sovereignty. Arthur Baghdasaryan, Hranush Hakobyan, Hovhanness Hovhannissyan were as well against it.
When CE representative welcomed the suggestion over printing the voting papers in Europe, Arthur Baghdasaryan announced he was not principally against.
Alexan Karapetyan had announced at CE platform if May 25 elections don’t take place within Law, we will have to function in demagogy field and not in Law which will lead to civil conflicts.
