“DEMOCRATIC MOTHERLAND” HAS NO INTENTION TO RUN IN PARLIAMENTARY ELECTION

“Democratic Motherland” party issued a statement today. The party doesn’t recognise the results of both the first and the second rounds of presidential election, because the republic authorities have resorted to violence, fraud and other election illegalities in the course of the election, the statement says.

The “Democratic Motherland” is convinced that the republic’s current leadership is unable to ensure fair parliamentary elections. That’s why the party finds it senseless to participate in it.

At the same time, the “Democratic Motherland” leader Petros Makeyan informed journalists about the party determination to support united opposition during the election.

In his opinion, at the moment, the opposition should concentrate its efforts on ridding of current authorities and restoring constitutional order.

Makeyan doesn’t rule out that Constitutional Court will make right decision on presidential elections. The success depends also on attitude and activity of the united opposition.
