“The Country to People”. That’s the motto of Liberal Union for upcoming parliamentary elections. The Liberal Union consists of Union for National Self-determination plus 2 parties and 10 public organisations. Today, the UNS leader Pruyr Hayrikyan informed journalists about the Liberal Union creation.

33 candidates nominated by the UNS will stand the election through the party list, while the party other candidates will run for seats in the Parliament in individual races, he said.

Paruyr Hayrikjyan expressed his disappointment at the fact that few parties have responded to his call to create democratic union and concluded that “the parties statements about their faithfulness to democratic principles and their angry allegations about unjust election is nothing but puffery”.

Upon winning parliamentary seats, the Liberal Union members will embark on legislative reforms, in particular, amendments to Electoral Code, he said.
