CEC RESULTS DON’T CONVINCE PROTESTANTS
Support A1+!Though CEC declared Robert Kocharyan as the president of Armenia, tens of thousands of people held a rally today, sure that Stepan Demirchyan is the elected president.
Albert Bazeyan, Chairman of Political Council for ”Republic” Party informed read out the statement of power supporting Demirchyan. “The United Opposition will continue fighting for restoration of constitutional order and forming legal authorities in the country.”
Opposition will boycott parliamentary elections if constitutional order is not restored along with Kocharyan’s leaving and if there are not just pre-conditions for parliamentary elections.
Authorities didn’t promise any post to Stepan Demirchyan /PM or Parliament Speaker/. And Stepan Demirchyan will refuse any proposal. “We have elected him the president and not PM” , rally participants said.
Stepan Demirchyan made a speech at the end of the meeting, saying people won’t despair or else it will mean “to sentence our country to illegalities, corruption, social difference. We won’t tolerate it” .
The next meeting of Opposition will take place on March 21. By then will be clear whether CC will accept Stepan Demirchyan’s application on declaring elections invalid. /He will introduce to the Court in 2 days/.
