POLICE PROMOTE ILLEGALITIES
Support A1+!“Police behaviour at today’s voting was far more brutal than during the first-round voting. I should state with full responsibility, that today the police not only turned blind eye to election illegalities but also committed them”, says Armen Mkrtchyan, a member of Stepan Demirchyan’s electoral headquarter of Arabkir.
“When Demirchyan’s proxies tried to prevent ballot box illegal stuffing and the offenders attacked them, police officers remained indifferent witnessed the incident silently with their hands in pockets”, Armen Mkrtchyan said describing what happened at polling station N 0133/ 06.
“Then, with the help of the police, the offenders got back false ballots seized from then. We tried to bar the exit to prevent them from getting away. A fight broke out. Police officers instead of detaining malefactors opened the door and let them escape”, said Mkrtchyan.
In his words, Demirchyan’s supporters did manage to preserve a few ballots with votes already “cast” for Kocharyan.
The Stepan Demirchyan proxy said similar cases were seen in almost all polling stations of Yerevan’s district of Arabkir.
