ROBERT KOCHARYAN IS NOT “AGAINST EVERYBODY”
Support A1+!Today in N 0351 polling station /N 24 school/ election process was stopped for 10 minutes. At 11:00 AM candidate for presidency Robert Kocharyan came to the election centre with his family and the bodyguards .
Robert Kocharyan refused to answer the questions by the representatives of Armenian and foreign Mass Media.
He just said “he would go home to take rest, then to the headquarters” . According to him, “everything possible was done in order that elections pass transparently without any incident” . Kocharyan advised journalists to visit polling stations to make sure of it.
”Have You voted against everybody?”, Kocharyan was asked. “No” , he laughed and answered.
VAZGEN MANUKYAN AND STEPAN DEMIRCHYAN VOTED
2 candidates for presidency, Vazgen Manukyan and Stepan Demirchyan, discharged today their civic duty in the same election centre to elect the president of Armenia .
Stepan Demirchyan came to the polling station with his family – mother, wife and 3 daughters. After voting he had a little conversation with journalists. I don’t forecast, but I evaluate my chances to win rather high , he said.
The pre-election headquarters for Stepan Demirchyan received many calls on irregularities since night. They have occurred since morning, too.
Stepan Demirchyan confirmed resoluteness of his party to fight against falsifications. “No one is so naive to think Authorities can conduct elections without falsification” , he says.
Stepan Demirchyan has clear stance to the first or second rounds of election. “We think victory in the first round is quite real” . After “Haylur” correspondent had asked him to make it more accurate “whose victory?” he meant, “Not your favourite candidate” , he said.
GEGAMYAN VOTED
After having voted at 9:30 AM today, candidate for presidency Artashes Geghamyan announced journalists his failure to win is excluded .He also said either Stepan Demirchyan or he will come to the second round.
Geghamyan has already managed to fix irregularities. He says in all the election centres of Davitashen Commune committee members refused to seal the ballot boxes. He also says “voting papers already voted for Kocharyan have been distributed among the soldiers in the Army, then sent to voting” .
“However, Authorities feel agony now” , Gegamyan says.
