KASHATAGH RESIDENTS COMPLAINING
Support A1+!Taking into account president Kocharyan’s great desire to be re-elected, people who live in liberated area of Lachin have come up with a demand to restore the law in above-mentioned lawless territory, which had been fallen into neglect for 6 years. They presented many pieces of evidence of law violence to Kocharyan’s electoral team.
“All the illegalities are appeared to be committed either deliberately, to cede the area to Azerbaijan, or intended for money laundry”, says Robert Simonyan, the leader of “Kashatagh” public organisation engaged in protection of Lachin residents’ rights.
Lachin’s Kashatagh district has formally become a part of Nagorno-Karabakh republic since its liberation in 1998 but, in fact, has been financially supported by Armenia.
It means Kashatagh’s authorities are out of Armenia’s and Karabakh’s control.
The district has undergone burglary for years. By the time of liberation, villagers enjoyed power and water supply while now they are totally stripped of utilities, because the pipes conveying water to consumers as well as electric and telephone wires are already stolen. As a result, the district is brought to ruin and completely deserted.
Facts of aid pocketing are also presented in the “Kashatagh” organisation report.
The organisation members are convinced that MP and Lachin’s governor Alexan Hakobyan is reaping fruits of this uncertain situation.
It is worth to be mentioned that the law forbids legislators from combining their lawmaking activity with any other position.
