ONE MORE VERSION OVER LEVON TER-PETROSYAN’S CANDIDATURE AND ELECTIONS

Armenian National Movement tested its strength in the elections of local government institutions and Levon Ter-Petrosyan won’t propose his candidature for the coming presidential elections, basing upon the results of that test .

“He is a very clever man and he won’t take the step until he is sure to gain100 % of votes” , Communication and Transport Minister Andranik Manukyan says.

Manukyan also said he used to be the most successful businessman while Ter-Petrosyan held the president’s post. But nevertheless, Manukyan announced he will be by Kocharyan’s side at the coming elections and will leave if Kocharyan leaves, too .

“At present we don’t have an opposition to compete with Kocharyan. That’s why we are easy in our mind and don’t even think over establishing pre-election headquarters. ”

Andranik Manukyan is not agree to that Robert Kocharyan has already begun his pre-election campaign, not missing his chance for cutting the red ribbons all over Armenia.

It is usual to mention re-construction of calamity zone, repair of roads and culture centres when stating Kocharyan’s merits. But the fact the calamity zone was promised to be re-constructed in 2000 and other works are carried out by the foreign organisations, is left out. In any case, Andranik Manukyan forecasted the presidential elections to be finished in the first phase and Robert Kocharyan to win a hundred-per-cent victory.
