WILL THE OPPOSITION MANAGE TO PROVE ITSELF TO BE RIGHT?
Support A1+!The non-formal group of Opposition MPs of Parliament, headed by Shavarsh Kocharyan, discussed the issue on making changes in the Election Law Code and wants to submit it to Parliament. “Orinats Yerkir” agrees to the idea.
”Dashnaktsutyan” doesn’t yet announce its standpoint. But it may be that “Dashnaktsutyun” agrees to Kocharyan’s proposal after some changes and editing.
Only Republican Party of Armenia, having won in elections of local government institutions, is radically against it. Today PM Andranik Margaryan stated, answering the journalists’ questions: “It is soon to make such changes. The elections for institutions of local government proved there are no obvious shortcomings in the Law Code. I think there is no necessity to make changes ” .
Today signature collection in Parliament on holding a special session and making changes in the Election Law Code has begun. It is difficult to say if the Opposition will manage to collect 44 signatures. Though there is prognosis a session will be held and it will succeed, nevertheless, there is misgiving Parliament will kill Shavarsh Kocharyan’s proposal by voting.
