EUROPEAN COURT CHAIR SPEAKS AT PRESS CONFERENCE
Support A1+!Today European Court Chair Liusious Waldhaber introduced journalists his visit results. But he said nothing new. To our questions – “Have You met the Armenian law representatives? And how do You assess human rights defence level in Armenia?“ , he answered he would like to meet them but there was no time enough as well as no one organised such meeting for him.
He only met Court and Government representatives, journalists and university students. As regards the human rights defence level in Armenia, Court Chair avoided a concrete answer, saying he can express standpoint after cases from Armenia are studied
Mr Waldhaber said he hadn’t yet been introduced to the judges list from which they are to choose .
He says he managed to notice our Authorities understand well necessity of joining European structures . He announced the 13-rd Protocol will soon be made public which will allow to abolish death penalty not only in peace but also in war . And all the CE member countries will be obliged to ratify it.
