INTELLIGENTSIA WILL PROPOSE THEIR CANDIDATE FOR THE PRESIDENT'S POST
Support A1+!Today one faction of the Armenian intellectuals announced they anticipate no justice from the coming elections .
They account for the fact that citizens and the intelligentsia in particular are deprived of the chance to register a candidate in the elections and conduct an election campaign because of the unjust "Electoral Law Code" of Armenia . According to law requirements it's an expensive pleasure.
"The present Authorities implemented their policy well - the intelligentsia is no longer a separate power and a base for the state" ,- Academician Lenser Aghalovyan says.
Unlike the intellectuals supporting the present president's candidature, this wing aims to declare the name of their candidate for the president's post on October 31 . They recognise neither the candidates of the present Authorities nor the ones of the powers opposite to them. The intellectuals are sure the coming presidential election is one of the unique periods when all the political powers and the public must unite to elect "a nation-wide president" acceptable for both Armenia, Diaspora and Artsakh .
But the intelligentsia are not sure that the intellectuals as well will unite in case of that joining. "It's not always so easy to achieve unity" ,- they say.
By their activity the intellectuals intend making the public elect a normal president at least once.
