THE SHORTEST WAY TO THE CHAIR OF ARMENIA'S PRESIDENT IS FROM THE CHAIR OF KARABAGHI PRESIDENT

Nagorno Karabagh considers itself independent only proceeding from certain circumstanses. Under the memorandum in 1989 Karabagh is independent of Azerbaijan and not Armenia ,- today Hrant Khachatryan and Hayk Babukhanyan, the Co-Chairs of Union for Constitutional Right, said. They criticize Karabaghi Authorities for refusing the application by Hrant Khachatryan for participation in the presidential elections in Karabagh. The official refusal of Karabaghi Authorities is that Khachatryan was to have resided in Karabagh for 10 years. There's no conception like a citizen of Karabagh , Mr Babukhanyan says.

The Union for Constitutional Right thinks it made a path for all the parties in Armenia by proposing a candidate for the post of Karabaghi president. The Union's members added they would continue participating in the presidential elections in Karabagh and would second the candidature of Arthur Tovmasyan, the former speaker of Karabaghi Parliament.

Hrant Khachatryan says it may be that he nominates himself for elections in Armenia. When Khachatryan was suggested to choose between the posts of Armenia's and Karabaghi presidents, he answered: "Maybe, Artsakh is smaller than Armenia but it is much more important by its problems than all those ones of Armenia all together " .

Hayk Babukhanyan, the other Co-Chair of Union for Constitutional Right said: "At present the shortest way to the chair of Armenia's president is from the chair of Karabaghi president" .
