"During the elections in 1998 I prefered Robert Kocharyan to Karen Demirchyan",- academician Rafayel Ghazaryan said today. He also tried to juctify himself: "I hoped Kocharyan wouldn't continue policy of Levon Ter Petrosyan. Solution to Artsakh problem is a priority N 1 for me" .

The academician said today he had had weighty reasons to believe in Kocharyan. Ghazaryan says: "I met Kocharyan in Stepanakert once and he spoke about return of territories. Kocharyan had said: "We won't return a slightest meter of land!" ."But the time showed Kocharyan implements a policy worse than Levon Ter Petrosyan did ",- Mr. Ghazaryan stated.
