THE MYTH OF THE ONLY MAN EXPLODED

Politics

The idle menaces by the Armenian president make Artashes Geghamyan, the head of "National Unity" party, grin. Geghamyan thinks, the Opposition turned to be a "winner" during the last events in Parliament. "The myth of the only man exploded" ,- Geghamyan says.

Geghamyan thinks Robert Kocharyan failed both in internal and foreign policy and tries to blame the Opposition for it. "National Unity" party says it's a matter of grave importance to get rid of the management led by Kocharyan as soon as possible, as it threatens the state system of our country .

Geghamyan also thinks it will be a step to destabilize the state of the country if Kocharyan extends his holding the post. "And he does it through every means possible",- Geghamyan says. There's prognosis that serios conflict may occur in Autumn as neither the Opposition nor the Authorities aim to meet any half-ways. Mr. Geghamyan also thinks any conflict possible will be between Robert Kocharyan and the people. "Power may be gained by arms but it's impossible to hold it long" ,- Geghamyan added.

Geghamyan says it may well be that he becomes the president after the election. "I take a sober view of my adversary's potentialities. Kocharyan has already exhausted himself in the eyes of the electorate".
