Boxers claim that president of federation is elected by violations

Armenian boxers held a protest action in front of the RA Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs, press secretary of the Armenian Boxing Federation Yervand Hakobyan told "A1 +." Around 40 to 50 boxers announce that there were numerous violations in the presidential election of the Armenian Boxing Federation on August 4. Artur Gevorgyan was re-elected in the post, but the protesters insisted that the coaches who had a great contribution to boxing were even unaware of the elections and the unauthorized persons participated in the elections. Also, the voting was open, whereas the charter demanded a closed ballot. Federation spokesperson Yervand Hakobyan denied that the unauthorized persons had participated in the elections and said that the elections were transparent and fair. Press secretary of the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs Astghik Martirosyan told "A1 +" that Deputy Minister Gabriel Ghazaryan received the protesters. According to Martirosyan, the Armenian Boxing Federation is now divided into two wings, the Ministry heard both sides and called on the sides to come to a compromise.
