Davit Tonoyan: Armenia must continue its presidency at the CSTO until the end of the term
Armenia's Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan said at a news conference at Monte Melkonian Military School that Armenia must continue its presidency at the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) until the end of the term. "At the moment, the question of the candidacy of the Secretary of the CSTO has not been discussed, but Armenia should continue its presidency until the end of the term," Tonoyan said to "Armenpress," referring to the question on the candidacy of Yuri Khachaturov to CSTO Secretary. CSTO Secretary Yuri Khachaturov accused of breaching the constitutional order during the events of 1-2 March 2008 upon a preliminary agreement with other persons. The Special Investigative Service (SIS) filed a motion to arrest Yuri Khachaturov, but the court decided to release Khachaturov on a five-million-dollar bail.
