Former commander Volodya Hovhannisyan believes that the decision to detain former Defense Minister Mikayel Harutyunyan is a slap to the army and the reputation of it. "The decision of Special Investigation Service of Republic of Armenia and the court decision on The Minister of Defense and Colonel-General is a slap to our army and our resisting spirit. Regardless of everything, Colonel-General, who has gone through the Artsakh Liberation War, who has served in the General Staff for 17 years, his detention decision is immoral and unjustified," he said today at the press conference. Volodya Hovhannisyan noted that there is an impression in society today that we had only robber generals, bribe-takers, subordinates, and a group of "fortunate" people. According to the commander, a rebel nation was seen before the army got involved, armed with looters who attacked the police. "And one of them, Nikol Pashinyan, leads and directs them with the loudspeakers, it turns out that they are not criminals; they can break everything, they can do everything," says Volodya Hovhannisyan.
