Results of the competition for the disabled athletes have been summarized

For the first time athletes from Armenia, and Artsakh participated in the exclusion of Yerevan's table tennis tournament for disabled athletes in Yerevan. The purpose of the event, supported by the Municipality of Yerevan, is to involve people with disabilities in various sporting events and to provide them with active entertainment. Gor Vardanyan, Adviser to Mayor of Yerevan, Yuri Mamikonyan, head of sport department of Yerevan City Mayor, and Hrant Yenokyan, Yerevan City Sports Committee Coordinator, followed the course of the tournament. Gor Vardanyan, welcoming the organizers and participants of the competitions on behalf of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan, noted that the Municipality of Yerevan would further boost the active sports life in the capital and, in particular, the various competitions held among disabled athletes. Kamo Davtyan, head of the Armenian Table Tennis Federation of Disabled People, expressed gratitude for the support of the Municipality of Yerevan and noted that the support provided to the disabled athletes is obligatory for showing the best possible results in the future and properly presenting Armenia at the international tournaments. Kamo Davtyan handed a letter of gratitude to Gor Vardanyan on Mayor Taron Margaryan's contribution to the Yerevan Open Tennis Championships, development and popularization of disabled sports. Melanya Ghazaryan was the winner of the girls' competition, the second was Armine Martirosyan from Artsakh, and the third was Ellen Sargsyan from Yerevan.  Nubar Kirakosyan, Hunan Hunanyan and Soghomon Nersisyan took first three places in the wheelchair tennis tournament respectively. Gevorg Beglaryan from Yerevan was the strongest of non-wheelchair-tennis players. Tigran Petrosyan, from Gyumri, took the second place, and Arthur Grigoryan took the third.
