Armenian Embassy in Iran issues security warning
The Armenian Embassy in Iran urges Armenian citizens, who are currently in Iran, to keep away from territories where law enforcement agencies are working, namely southern Tehran and crowded areas (subway, markets, etc). The warning came after the twin attacks in Tehran when gunmen attacked the Iranian parliament and the Ayatollah Khomeini mausoleum in the morning hours of Wednesday. “In the event of emergency, please contact the Armenian Embassy in Iran immediately (phone: (0098) 21 6670 4833, Address: 32, Ostad Shahriar Str., corner of Razi Str., Jomhourie Eslami, Tehran, Iran). The Embassy is closely following the developments. Additional information will be provided if necessary,” the Embassy said adding that at this point they have no information whether there are Armenian citizens or ethnic Armenians among the victims.
