Armenia sends 18 tons of humanitarian aid to Syria
In accordance with an agreement between the Armenian and Russian Defense Ministries and by an order of the ARmenian President, a new batch of humanitarian aid was flown to Syria on June 17 to assist the Armenians in the country’s war-torn regions. An IL-76 aircraft belonging to the Russian armed forces headed from the Yerevan international airport to Syria carrying a batch of 18 tons of humanitarian aid that included consumer goods and food. according to a press statement by the Defense Ministry of Armenia. The humanitarian aid has a label on it that reads, “With Warm Wishes of Peace from Armenia to Syrian Brothers.”
