Republican candidate: In many cases, incidents are provoked by opposition figures (video)

Our primary task is to hold spotless parliamentary elections and not a single person, including a village headman, local authority or criminal, can cast a shadow on the election process, Republican Artak Zakaryan said commenting on the latest events in Jrarat village which left three supporters of the Ohanyan-Raffi-Oskanian alliance injured in a clash with Republican loyalists. “In many cases, such unacceptable clashes are incited by opposition parties or the forces supporting them who try to show the public that the country has failed to hold spotless elections yet another time. Some [forces] are totally absorbed in thoughts about post-election developments; they are trying to find explanations and justifications for their failures and unmet expectations,” Mr Zakaryan said. The parliamentary candidate called on all political forces running for Parliament not to escalate the situation unnecessarily, provoke unnecessary conflicts or politicize everything. Speaking about the death of Artur Sargsyan (nicknamed “the bringer of bread”) Artak Zakaryan said it is wrong to politicize the developments in the country and shape public moods on their basis.
