Aram Sargsyan does not rule out cooperation with Gagik Tsarukyan

Alliances formed at this stage are merely technical, and political forces seek to take seats in the next parliament. Besides, none of them has presented a definite program or said what they intend to do after coming to power, Chairman of the National Security Party Garnik Isagulyan said on January 31. Aram Sargsyan, Chairman of the Democratic Party of Armenia (HDK), disagrees with Mr Isagulyan. “How can I answer such nonsense every time?! I have been elected as a lawmaker, Viktor Dallakyan has been elected for four times. What is the sense of going and sitting there [in the National Assembly] with crossed hands? We told you our goals long ago. Yes, we think that it is time to dismantle this system,” Mr Sargsyan said. The HDK leader had brought with him a brochure presenting the plans of the political forces that he heads. “The resolution consisting of 20 points clearly presents our plans. Should you find someone else with the same or similar approaches, I shall be glad to unite with that force,” he said. Aram Sargsyan did not exclude cooperation with businessman Gagik Tsarukyan at some stage. “If we see clear steps and feel that they are going to realize them on their way to achieve goals, then the cooperation [with that force] is possible,” the HDK chairman said.
