Republican condemns cases of making people join the Republican Party (video)
The RA NA Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) faction Head Vahram Baghdasaryan condemns the cases of making the people join the Republican Party, if such cases happened, “There is some tendency, maybe these changes even have had their positive influence.” Mr Baghdasaryan ascribes the fact of 7000 people becoming Republicans in one day to the trust in new Government, “There is no alternative, I can see no other way for the establishment of the political field.” At the Congress of the Republican Party Serzh Sargsyan announced that in case of the victory of the party at the parliamentary elections, Karen Karapetyan will hold the position of Prime Minister. Vahram Baghdasaryan considers this person to be the locomotive of the team and doesn’t think that PM can get rid of the Serzh Sargsyan’s personnel members. “We all have one objective- to increase the Republican Party’s, to increase more trust among the society and to see the political field stable and established,” he said. Authorities’ sociological studies even show that Karen Karapetyan has higher rating than Serzh Sargsyan. The teammates of current President aren’t concerned about this fact, “I consider it to be normal, as for many years the attitude and trust in a new person have been higher. And, in general, being authority, being Government always has negative influence on the rating.” Serzh Sargsyan will make use of just Karen Karapetyan’s rating to win 2017 elections. But making Karen Karapetyan PM doesn’t mean that after April 9, 2018 Serzh Sargsyan will not become a Prime Minister. Serzh Sargsyan himself said that it depends on the results of the parliamentary elections whether he will become PM or not. The RA NA Armenian National Congress (HAK) Head Levon Zurabyan notes, “Karen Karapetyans’ figure is used to record results in 2017 elections, but according to Serzh Sargsyan’s words, he will become a PM in 2018, as he states that his becoming PM depends on those results.” The fact of making 7000 people become Republicans in a day reminds Levon Zurabyan of joining the Soviet Union’s Communist Party, when the whole state belonged to one party. Serzh Sargsyan is cut off from reality and doesn’t know that there aren’t so many people in the party, “Serzh Sargsyan, his party and his circle have been cut off from life if they believe those numbers.”
