Ombudsman requested Police and Special Investigation Service to study violence against citizens
Armenia’s Ombudsman has studied in detail all reports about ill-treatment and violence by the police towards citizens in the past two days. The Ombudsman’s Office has also studied the publications in the press. The Office has sent letters to the Armenian Police and the Special Investigation Service, requesting them to study the reports about cases of unjustified detention of citizens. We remind that the Ombudsman’s Office received reports about violence by civil activists davit Sanasaryan, Vaghinak Shushnyan and other citizens.
