It was nothing else but Pyrrhic victory - says Armen Rustamyan
We should not talk about concessions, as long as the enemy [Azerbaijan] does not want to resume talks over Karabakh, Head of the ARF-Dashnaktsutyun faction Armen Rustamyan said on May 20. “Yes, they [Azeris] have captured several Armenian positions, but not a village, although the village you are speaking about is not inhabited,” Rustamyan said in reply to Zaruhi Postanjyan, who said earlier on Friday that Azerbaijan captured not only territories but also a village during the four-day clashes in Artsakh early in April. Rustamyan also said he did not want to comment on Postanjyan’s statement whereby she said Serzh Sargsyan is the most serious threat to Armenia and its people. “Zaruhi Postanjyan’s statements cannot be interpreted,” he said. With regard to Azerbaijani statements that they ‘won a victory’ over Armenia, Mr Rustamyan said, “It was nothing else but Pyrrhic victory.”
