RA highways as of 17:00
The RA Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations informs that on January 28 as of 17:00 some roads are closed and difficult to pass in the RA territory. Roads in Mijnatun, Shenkan communities of Aragatsotn marz and Vardenyats mountain pass are closed. Sotk-Karvachar and Vanadzor-Alaverdi highways are difficult to pass. There is black ice on some parts of the highways of Nor Geghi-Aragyugh of Kotayk marz, Goris-Sisian, Goris-Kapan of Syunik marz. The 8-9th km of Areni-Khachik highway in the RA Vayots Dzor is passable in one direction. The roads are being cleaned with salt and sand. The RA MTAES urges drivers to use the abovementioned roads only if strictly necessary using winter tires. According to the instruction of the RA MTAES Minister all the divisions on duty have worked in strengthened regime since December 25, 2015. The Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia informs that Stepantsminda-Lars highway is open only for passenger vehicles in case of using tire chains.
