Sport: 14 candidates for "Best Athlete of the Year"
Armenian Federation of Sport Journalists announces that voting for “Best Athlete of the Year” is already open. The 14 candidates, who compete for the title of Armenia’s best sportsperson of 2015 are; Artur Alexanyan (Greco-Roman wrestling) Aram Avagyan (boxing) Levon Aronian (chess) Artur Davtyan (gymnastics) Arman Yeremyan (taekwondo) Artur Tovmasyan (artistic gymnastics) Andranik Karapetyan (weightlifting) Tigran Kirakosyan (sambo) Mihran Harutyunyan (Greco-Roman wrestling) Maxim Manukyan (sambo) Smbat Margaryan (weightlifting) Tigran Martirosyan (weightlifting) Harutyun Merdinyan (artistic gymnastics) Henrik Mkhitaryan (football) The vote is open to all sports journalists, photographers and cameramen who have at least seven years of work experience. In the relevant questionnaire, they should name the top 10 athletes of 2015. The voting will last till December 21.
