Modernization of border crossing points enters final stage (video)
Modernization of Bagratashen, Bavra and Gogavan border crossing points (BCPs) on the border with Georgia is entering its final stage. The Ministry of Finance presents a video telling about the UNDP-funded program on modernization. Under the program the BCPs will be aligned to the IBM international standards aimed at the facilitation of the movement of people and goods across the border. The upgraded border crossings will provide increased processing capacity, enabling multi-directional road crossing for international cargo and passenger traffic. UNDP supported the Government of Armenia to raise around EUR 42 million from the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development and European Investment Bank to start the “Modernization of Bagratashen, Bavra and Gogavan Border Crossing Points” project. Details are available in the video.
