Another BHK member quits party - armtimes.com
Another lawmaker representing the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) faction in parliament has announced the termination of his party membership following the recent standoff between the BHK and the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (HHK). In a letter addressed to people, BHK member David Kocharyan says he has already submitted an application to withdraw from the party but he will continue his work in the National Assembly as a ‘non-partisan’ deputy, armtimes.com reports. Five more members of the BHK faction - Karo Karapetyan, Aragats Akhoyan, Melik Manukyan, Grigory Margaryan and Harutyun Gharagyozyan - withdraw from the party last week. The BHK has 36 MPs in the 131-seat National Assembly, making it the second largest faction after the HHK.
