Guests at the “Hayeli” club are political analyst Levon Shirinyan and Azat Arshakyan who are discussing the invitation of Turkey’s President to Serzh Sargsyan and the latter’s response. On Friday, Turkish President Recep Erdoğan sent a letter to Serzh Sargsyan inviting his Armenian counterpart to participate in the commemoration ceremonies marking the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Gallipoli to be held on the 24th of April this year, when Armenians will be commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. In his response letter, Serzh Sargsyan said in part, “A few months ago I invited you to join us in commemoration of memory of the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide in Yerevan on the 24th of April. It is not a common practice for us to be hosted at the invitee’s, without receiving a response to our invitation.”
