Artsrun Hovhannisyan: Vigen Sargsyan has never escaped from military service

Artsrun Hovhannisyan, Defense Minister's Spokesperson, issued a statement on Facebook on Seyran Ohanyan's wife Ruzanna Khachatryan's note. "Dear colleagues, the author of that post is the recipient of the inquiries sent by you. This is also the logic of the articles  on defamation and insult of the RA Civil Code, as well as false denunciation of the RA Criminal Code. Regardless of these clarifications, the RA Ministry of Defense officially declares:

1. Armenian Defense Minister Vigen Sargsyan has never escaped from military service. From the age of 18 (as before, at the stage of recording), he always appeared at military commissariat at the scheduled date and time. There was not a single call, during which, being eligible, he shied away from this responsibility. The Defense Minister has never had health restriction, no basis for the military procrastination or dismissal.
2. Minister Sargsyan was never wanted, there was no operation, no investigative, search procedure conducted against him by the military police or other law enforcement.
3. Vigen Alexander Sargsyan fulfilled his constitutional duty to protect the Homeland by serving as an officer in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia. He was demobilized into reserve troops, with a military rank as a Senior Lieutenant."

To remind, today Nikol Pashinyan, leader of the Yelk (Way Out) faction, stated that Ruzanna Khachatryan meant Vigen Sargsyan when speaking about the official who escaped the service. Ruzanna Sargsyan did not mention any name in her post.
