The alliance set up by former Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan and former Foreign Ministers Vartan Oskanian and Raffi Hovannisian says the police are preventing its supporters from entering Yerevan to participate in the bloc’s rally to be held in the Armenian capital later on Tuesday. The ORO bloc received such a report from its supporters in Gegharkunik marz who say law enforcement agencies disallow transport companies to take them to Yerevan to attend the rally. The bloc says an agreement had been reached with the GavarTrans, a passenger transport company, which was to transport ORO supporters to Yerevan in nine minibuses, but the director of the company received a telephone call prohibiting transportation of passengers. The rally starts at Liberty Square at 6p.m. local time. It will be followed by a march through the central streets.
