“The Armenian National Congress (HAK) and the People's Party of Armenia (HZhK) will form an alliance to challenge the government in the April 2 parliamentary elections, HAK lawmaker Levon Zurabyan said in the National Assembly on Feb. 7. “Our primary tasks are, to reach a quick resolution of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict and establish peace, ensure safety and the right of the Karabakh people to self-determination, open all communication channels in the region, eradicate corruption, put an end to looting, fight against illegal enrichment of officials, simplify tax and customs system, lower gas and electricity prices by 15 percent, increase pensions and restore the presidential-parliamentary system,” Zurabyan said.
