More than 80 percent of harvest in Tandzut community has been damaged due to hail. Vazgen Grigoryan is showing the damaged harvest, “Who will eat it? Anyone will get offended, if you offer it,” he says. There is no anti-hail station in the community, and the anti-hail stations of the neighboring communities started operating when it was already late. After hail on June 23, which caused much damage, the Government decided to allocate AMD 36 million to Argina, Tandzut, Arevik, Yeghegnut and Artashar communities of Armavir marz in order to obtain 12 anti-hail stations. The residents of Tandzut don’t believe the promises. The villagers are concerned how they will pay off the land and water charges. “We must pay for land and water, how can we pay for it?” say the villagers. The villagers, who have lost their harvest, are waiting for nullification or freeze of charges. Watch the video!
