London confirms Armenian gymnast’s record

The London-based office of the Guinness World Records Registered the record of David Fahradyan, a gymnastics instructor in the Physical Training and Emergencies Department at Yerevan State Linguistic University (YSLU), named after V. Brusov, on December 11, 2009.

An application for getting the certificate for the most consecutive gymnastic high bar giants (354) was sent to the main office of Guinness Records on July 21, 2009, and an affirmative answer was received in December 2009.
A month later, on January 27, 2010, David Fahradyan received the diploma from London during a press conference in YSLU. Fahradyan said he had set a record for the sake of his people, university and family.

The previous record from Armenia was set by Artak Grigoryan seven years ago.
