Residents of an Etchmiadzin hostel staged a protest near the Presidential residence on July 1. They wanted to inform Serzh Sargsyan that the hostel was in want of repair. 2.5 year-old Allan today joined the group in protest of sorrowful living conditions.

The protesters say they have nowhere else to go. They had been promised to tackle the issue in the second trimester of the year but the construction works were cancelled because of the finances and financial crisis.

"We have lost all hopes as the works have been stopped. We want our voice to be audible to Serzh Sargsyan while some people do their best to prevent us," said protester Dukhik Movsesyan.

The 26 families of the hostel say the building is subject to a demolition. The hostel has no toilet and other accommodations.

Some inhabitants couldn't come to Yerevan as they had no money.

As usual the police didn't let the protesters gather near the residence.
