An unknown citizen armed with a knife tried to enter the National Assembly building earlier today.
The police officers guarding the NA area used firearms to prevent the man from intruding into the NA premises, after the man disobeyed their instructions. One of the policemen fired a warning shot in the air but the man continued his way. This made the policemen wound the man in the leg to hinder his further intrusion, NA Spokesperson Gohar Poghosyan told A1+.
When asked by the security officer who he was, the man replied ‘Jesus Christ.'
A group of journalists are grouped near the National Assembly but they are not allowed to enter the area.
