The students doing a sit-down strike in front of Yerevan State University have already made their demands clear and they are going to present them to the Rector Aram Simonyan. After some technical corrections the letter will be sent to the addressee.
"Our short-term demands are to make Rector's assistant Gevorg Melkonyan give resignation in the period of March 19-22 as well as to punish all the persons who made violations during the student-strike",- said one of the participants of Youth Movement Shoghakat Vardanyan.
If Aram Simonyan does not satisfy the requirements of the students the students will pass to the second part of their demands.
"From March 25 a new requirement will be put forward, the demand of resignation of the YSU Rector Aram Simonyan himself", - Shoghakat said.
By the way, not only YSU students participate in the strike, but also among them many students are from other universities that participated in the February 25 student strike. Parallel with the sit-down strike the signature collection still goes on with the claim of the resignation Rector's assistant Gevorg Melkonian.
"There are already approximately 4000-5000 signatures",- Lilit Harutyunyan said, who by the way is not a student of YSU.
