Wings of Tatev to operate six days a week

"TaTever" ("Wings of Tatev"), the longest reversible aerial tramway in the world, will resume its operation on March 12 after undergoing annual inspection and maintenance work.

A company managing the aerial tramway said that it will function on a daily basis from 10:00 to 18:00. The tramway will not operate on Mondays which is a non-working day.

TaTever cable car travels at a speed of 37 kilometers per hour and a one-way journey takes 11 minutes. At its highest point over the gorge, the car travels 320 m (1,050 ft) above ground level. TaTever was granted a certificate from the Guinness book of Records officially verifying the status of the longest reversible aerial tramway. It was inaugurated in 2010.
