Armenia's Ministry of Education and Science reports that classes in educational institutions started at 9.30 p.m., with the number of absentees remaining the same as in other days.

At the same time the Ministry reminds that campaigning and other forms of political activities in the vicinity of educational institutions are prohibited by law.A group of students announced earlier their intention to boycott classes starting from February 25 in support of the official runner-up of the presidential election Raffi Hovannisian, who is disputing Serzh Sargsyan's official reelection. As the group said the boycott would continue until the resignation of Serzh Sargsyan.

The official counts of the February 18 presidential election show Hovannisian losing to Serzh Sargyan by about 59 percent to 37 percent.
