Statement
On February 8, dozens of citizens held "Stop the Regime" civil action, the purpose of which was to once again raise the question of the electoral rights of the voters, which are not protected under the current regime and to call on the OSCE election observation mission to stop the observation and legitimization of the distorted elections of the Republic of Armenia.
The action started at the Central Election Commission, where the citizens headed to the OSCE office at 18 Baghramyan with the exclamations "Stop the Regime".
The peaceful march was prevented several times by the police forces who formed a barrier and obstructed citizens to defend the right to freedom of movement and the right to organize peaceful marches.
However, the citizens could defend their rights expressing their position in front of the presidential residence.
Dozens of citizens signed the appeal to suspend the activities of the international election observation missions addressed to the ambassadors of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, France, Italy, USA, Switzerland, Germany, Bulgaria, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine, Greece, Poland, Romania and sent it to the

The heavy burden of finding ways for getting out of the current crisis is laid on our society. So we, the citizens of the Reoublic of Armenia, consider it our great duty to act in the interests of our state and nation.
Today there is such a situation that our nation wants to get rid of the dictatorship of the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK). And in these conditions the international observation missions have inadvertently become the supporter of this party.
This obliges us to ask You to take steps to terminate the actually irrelevant presence of the international election observation missions in Armenia since the Armenian authorities don't fulfill the international obligations to provide free and competitive elections using the fact of your presence and observations to state the rightness of their actions.
The departure of the observers will make the ruling party stop the suppression of the citizens serving as a proof the false fact of the external sponsorship. It will also contribute to the precise orientation of the society of your country.
Regardless of your decision, we are determined to achieve free and fair elections and to establish the constitutional order in our country."
