A conscript has shot himself fatally with a gun at about 10.20 pm, Thursday evening, in one of the military units in Armenia.
Private Vardan Avagyan (b. in 1990) was drafted in spring 2012.
A criminal case has been instituted under Article 100 (Part 1) of the Criminal Code (driving a person to commit suicide).
The Defense Ministry expressed its condolences to Avagyan's family over the heavy loss.
