Quake hits Iran: tremors felt in Armenia

A 5.7 magnitude quake hit Iran at 10.26 (Yerevan time), Armenia's Seismic Protection Service reports. The epicenter was located 28km northwest of Ahar city, Iran.

The force at the hypocenter was 7-8 on the Richter scale which was at the depth of 10 km.

The earthquake was felt in some Armenian cities - Kajaran, Kapan, Goris, Jermuk and Ararat.
