The general jurisdiction court of Yerevan's Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts examined today the case of Lieutenant Colonel Vardan Samvelyan. Samvelyan who was deputy commander of unit N. of the RA Ministry of Defense is charged with making threats to explode the Harsnakar Restaurant Complex on July 1.
Hovhannes Harutyunyan, the defense lawyer of Vardan Samvelyan, asked the judge to give his client 5 minutes in order to clarify whether the court hearing will be held under the accelerated procedure or not.
It needs to be reminded that on the night of July 1, enraged by the murder of Vahe Avetyan who had been cruelly beaten, Vardan Samvelyan armed with ammunition entered the Harsnakar Restuarant, threatening to explode it.
