Hay Fest - one of the major theatre festivals in the region - celebrates the 10th anniversary of its foundation this year.
President of Hay Fest Arthur Ghukasyan said that they are not going to mark the 10th anniversary of this international theatre festival with pomp. Russia is not among this year's participants.
Hay Fest will be held in Yerevan on October 2-9. 25 theatre and dance groups from 18 countries, including those from Japan, Iran, Georgia, and European countries, are expected to take part in it.
Eight open-air performances will be given. The festival events will include a student program featuring performances prepared by students and young directors.
The guests will have the opportunity to adorn cups. This year children from vulnerable families and orphanages will be invited to engage in this activity and then to see free of charge all children's performances during the festival.
