On July 12, U.S. Ambassador to Armenia John Heffern and RA Deputy Prime Minister Armen Gevorgyan will officially mark the launch of the joint anti-corruption awareness project at Zvartnots Airport (departures hall).
This 77,000 dollar program is funded by the Office for International Security and No Dissemination of Nuclear Substances of the U.S. Department of State.
It is being implemented within the framework of the Joint Action Plan of the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the U.S. Government in the Fight against the Smuggling of Nuclear and Radioactive Substances signed in 2008 by RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandyan and then U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.
