Police will identify those taking bribes

RA Deputy Prosecutor General Aram Tamazyan has assigned the RA Police to take necessary operative and investigative measures to identify, reveal and prevent all violations of electoral rights within a limited timeframe, paying special attention to electoral bribes, the communiqués regarding those bribes and the press releases provided by the mass media.

Attaching importance to the protection of human and civil rights and liberties and with the purpose of preventing possible violations of electoral rights during the May 6 parliamentary elections, Tamazyan has assigned the RA Police to take all possible operative and investigative measures to identify the persons who are preparing, performing or have performed the crime in order to clarify the whole circle of persons involved in the committal of crimes of such nature. In addition, while taking operative and investigative measures, the RA Police has been assigned to explain to the persons who have received electoral bribes about the possibility of relieving themselves of criminal liability in the case of showing up voluntarily and supporting the revelation of the crime, reports the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office.
