Environmentalists have been continuing their protest against the decision on placing the stands that were demolished on Abovyan Street at the park near Mashtots Avenue since this morning.
The placement of the stands in the green areas is almost over, but the oppositional activists refuse to leave the site.
"It is simply a shame. There are so many police officers here. We're doing the right thing. It is our park and we'll stand wherever we want to stand," activist Helen Melkonyan told "A1+".
In response to the actions of the municipality and the police, the environmentalists have foreseen to implement many new measures.
"We will declare a cleaning day on Saturday and will fight until the end," says activist Karine Khadyan.
No police officer commented on the situation at hand and all the officers advised to ask the news service.
News correspondent of the RA Police Armen Malkhasyan told "A1+" that the police were defending social order and would stay at the park as long as necessary.
The police had placed the metal fence again. The activists say "no police officer or wall can disturb them from fighting and winning". They also called on the gathered to be patient and not give in to provocations.
